processing B&W

Hello,
I use to process by myself B&W film and to make my own chimicals by mixing hard chimicals.
But the last times I did that I got really bad irritations on my forehead particulary.I thought it would not do it if use already made chimicals but unfortunatly I got again some irritations(but a lot less hard fotunatly).So would you know which produce is responsible? may be the fixator? or if you know any information about that or how to protect myself, please let me know.
